Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Tiny Imps processes personal data.
1. Controller
Tiny Imps is the controller of the personal data processed in connection with the Tiny Imps app, the imps and the website tinyimps.com (the “Services”). All requests concerning personal data are to be sent to support@tinyimps.com.
2. Content on your computer
The material that you copy, paste, convert, caption or mark with the imps is processed on your computer and is not transmitted to Tiny Imps.
3. Data that Tiny Imps may collect
- Licence and sign-in data
- A device fingerprint, which is a one-way code derived from the computer’s Windows identifier and cannot be reversed; a keyed hash of the e-mail address used for sign-in and purchase, in place of the address itself; one-time sign-in codes; and the subscription status received from Creem. On your computer, the e-mail address is stored encrypted for your Windows account.
- Update checks
- Requests to check whether a newer version exists, which contain only the technical data of an ordinary web request.
- Error reports
- When an error occurs, the Tiny Imps app may send a report containing the error message and its location in the code, the app version, the imp concerned, the Windows version and a random identifier used only for error reports. User and computer names, folder and file names, addresses, e-mail addresses and licence keys are removed before the report is sent and again when it is received. Error reports never contain clips, pictures, songs, captions, e-mail addresses or licence data. They are processed on Tiny Imps’ own infrastructure at Cloudflare and are used solely to identify and correct defects. Error reports can be turned off in the app’s settings.
- Anonymous usage statistics
- Aggregated daily counts of feature use, performance and hardware ranges, without any identifier. IP addresses are not stored. Usage statistics are used to improve the products and can be turned off in the app’s settings.
- Beat Imp corrections
- Only with your consent: the timing of the markers you correct and numeric features of the sound around them, never the audio itself or any song or file name. Corrections are used to improve hit detection. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Purchase data
- Creem, as merchant of record, processes your name, e-mail address, billing address and payment details under its own privacy policy. Tiny Imps does not receive card details. Creem informs Tiny Imps that a subscription exists, of its status and of the e-mail address used, which Tiny Imps keeps only as the keyed hash described above.
- The website
- The website uses no cookies and no advertising. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites; it records the page opened, the referring page, the country, the browser and the loading performance, and reports totals only. Its script is loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com; all other resources, including fonts, are served from tinyimps.com. When an error occurs in the website’s own scripts, the browser may send an error report containing the path of the page and the error message and its location, with e-mail addresses, other sites’ addresses and identifiers removed. Such a report contains no identifier and no cookie, and is processed like the app’s error reports.
4. Legal bases
- Performance of a contract
- Licence and sign-in data, and purchase data, are processed to provide the trial and the subscription.
- Legitimate interest
- Update checks, error reports, anonymous usage statistics and website visit counts are processed in the legitimate interest of providing secure, working and improved products. You may object to this processing at any time, including by turning error reports and usage statistics off in the app’s settings.
- Consent
- Beat Imp corrections are shared only with your consent.
5. Recipients and international transfers
Tiny Imps uses the following service providers: Cloudflare, for hosting the website and the licence service, error reports, usage statistics and visit counts; Resend, for delivering sign-in e-mails; and Creem, for payments. These providers may process personal data outside Türkiye and the European Union, under the safeguards that they provide in accordance with applicable law. Tiny Imps does not sell personal data and does not use it for advertising.
6. Retention
Personal data is retained no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. Sign-in codes expire shortly after they are issued. Error reports are retained for a limited period. Licence and sign-in data are retained while the account is in use and are deleted upon request, unless their retention is required by law.
7. Confidentiality and security
Personal data is kept confidential and is protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access to it is limited to what is necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent at any time. Requests are to be sent to support@tinyimps.com and are answered within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) in Türkiye, or the data protection authority of your country of residence in the European Union.
9. Changes to this policy
Tiny Imps reserves the right to amend this policy. The amended policy is published on this page.
