What it does

Hits, big and small

Big hits by default. Every hit adds the small ones with their own marker; One a bar keeps it sparse.

Spacing

Cut at most every half beat, beat, two beats or bar, so a busy song doesn't drown in markers.

Or a beat grid

Every beat, bar starts or every other bar, when you'd rather cut on the count.

Your markers

Pick the colour and name of each kind, and clip or sequence markers. Running it again replaces only its own.

Place clips on the hits

Select clips in a bin and drop them onto the markers, on a free track. Nothing on your timeline is overwritten.

By hand, or with Beat Imp

By hand in Premiere

  1. Play the song.
  2. Tap M on every hit, by ear.
  3. Scrub back and move the markers that landed late.
  4. Do it again for the next song.

With Beat Imp

  1. Select the song.
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+B.
